It All Began!
I, Bacem, the CEO of DroneDesire, graduated as a software engineer from a Paris institute. As one with a passion for technology, I took a giant step. The story of life began on high hopes, big dreams, and hunger to carve out a niche for self in the industry.
Turned A Pro
Got my first professional break as a software engineer at CGI Group, the Canadian IT major known for its global push in innovation. My stint from 2010 to 2014 allowed me a deep insight into the IT world and its immense prospects for young entrepreneurs. It provided the very foundation to update my skills, streamline thoughts, and inculcate the confidence to see and go after dreams.
After 4 long years at one of world’s biggest IT firms, I was still searching for the ultimate happiness in my professional life. I found myself wanting and looking for “true” satisfaction despite a good salary and admirable career. I made a decision to take a sabbatical from the industry and look for the “missing” quotient in my professional goals.
On The Back Foot
It was a period of soul searching and fighting with self. I was devastated and it pushed me back. Contemplations took over the mind, as I became a rudder ship driven in every direction. Inability to find what I searched for gave me setback. I was on the back foot. But little did I was aware that if you have to go forward, you have to take a step backward too.
I was unaware that the temporary test of my tenacity was actually the starting point of a new era. My resolve led me through and I came out of this self-imposed depression. The realization that having a dream makes life interesting motivated me and I opened up a drone shop. With fortitude to succeed, I took a determined step and my second innings took a shape.
Success never eludes if you are firm and unwavering. My new drone store was a roaring success and I sold over 10,000 drones, UAVs, and quadcopters within a year. The strong growth in the very first year erased from my memory all that perturbed me. The strategy for expansion was in the reckoning and I look for more hands to support my venture. New plans for better service, enhanced customer experience, and diversification of UAVs came to the fore.
Sis Took Driver’s Seat
I received a boost when Aida, my sister, who completed her management degree from a Paris college, joined me. From being a support initially, she actively took part in planning and executing the growth and expansion strategy and literally donned the role of the driver. Her stewardship relieved me from day-to-day matters to focus giving the store a more diversified look, add the latest drones, and improve service delivery. The store got new wings and began to fly high.
Birth of The Brand “DroneDesire”
It was time to create a brand, as our drone store was achieving milestones one after another. The brother-sister duo agreed on the name “DroneDesire” as our store was building and expanding its shelf to offer drone lovers every type of these amazing UAVs at the most reasonable price. Your wish to own a drone was now our responsibility and the brand assurance was to reinforce our focus on quality, variety, and affordability.
Enter The Little Star
Aniss, my little brother, followed me and my sister to join DroneDesire. His astute skills and knowledge of e-commerce infused new life to the store. He led the new social marketing, created a new logo, and improved the store site thanks to his incredible designing expertise. We soon became a brand with a visual and marketing appeal.
Sharpening The Focus
As we turn a premier drone store in less than two years, it was time to recalibrate the focus. A decision was made to enhance the quality quotient while continuing to offer the most extensive collection of drones online. DroneDesire turned more customer centric with increased attention to fast delivery services, quality customer care, proactive customer support, and a more friendly disposition.
A Plan in The Offing
Once our customer service focus is strengthened, we moved to make ourselves more widespread. A plan for expansion was drawn. New additions to the store were actively planned. We explored more markets to find new drone ideas and add them to our kitty so that you have the most unique drones to get your hands on.
